Our company is family run and has farmed Devon wheat thatching reed for two generations.

With our years of experience we can produce wheat of the highest possible quality as well as at a highly competitive price.

The most important person in our business is the customer. We are always keen to listen to our customers' requests and strive to meet their requirements.

As a family business our company is run by father and son, Ray and John.

Raymond

I have been farming thatching reed for over twenty years. I consider it to be a way of life as I have watched many seasons of wheat grow and worked to maintain a high quality product throughout. My years of farming wheat has given me a wealth of experience, which has formed a part of the expertise of our company.

I am married to Pearl, who always keeps us supplied with plenty of food during the busy times like harvest.

John

As the 'younger' member of the partnership I have a few years less experience than my Dad!

I have been farming Devon wheat thatching reed since I can ever remember and I consider it to be a passion.

Every stage of farming thatching reed is enjoyable to me, from preparing the land, through to combing. I am a perfectionist in what I do as we believe we are totally accountable for the quality of the wheat we sell.

I have a special interest in maintaining all of our machinery as well as innovating new machinery to improve processes. This special interest stems from my hobby of collecting vintage tractors.

I am married to Anna and have two young children.
